Notre-Dame-des-Victoires (Québec City)

Listed as a historic mounument in 1929, the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires is a small Roman Catholic stone church that was completed in 1723. The name commemorates the 1690 Battle of Québec and the 1711 sinking of ships in the British fleet commanded by Sir Hovenden Walker. An active place of worship, the church underwent a complete restoration after the British bombardment of 1759 to reinstate its French Colonial character.
